KEYWORD Research!

I am going crazy! As i explore internet marketing, the whole process is so tedious. As i make more profit from the net i am going to invest more into the various tools. Keyword research tools is one area i am going to put some money into!

Today i have spend roughly the whole day research a few segments that i am interested to exploring. First the general keywords. Then i segment out to the various categories and then i analysis the figures further. Trying to find a segment that is not so competitive. The i have to spend time to draft out a whole posting or articles to put this keyword research results into practice!

You can imagine the amount of time that i have to invest in. May be i should explore the various tools available in the market.

Internet marketing strategy involving the use of subdomain.

author Posted by: matthew on date Aug 22nd, 2008 | filed Filed under: Affiliates Marketing, internet marketing

This must be one of the least optimized blog posting that I am posting as there are simply no relevant searches regarding the use of subdomain in affiliate marketing. That caught me by surprise, as I am assuming that most would realize that using a subdomain for affiliate marketing must be another internet marketing strategy or affiliate marketing strategy for people.

First of all, what is a subdomain? Main domain looks like this http://www.maindomain.com and subdomain looks like this, http://subdomain.maindomain.com

What is interesting about subdomain as an internet marketing strategy or affiliate marketing strategy?

1. It is free after you have registered for your main domain

2. Its versatile as you can change your subdomain whenever you want to

3. If you plan it properly, it looks great. For example, you can use your main domain which is http://www.business.com to include a subdomain that looks like http://food.business.com . Isn’t that great looking?

4. Most webhost do offer unlimited subdomain, hence for a busy affiliates marketer like you that has dozens of interesting ideas. That’s going to keep the cost low as you can try out using subdomains first before getting a maindomain for niche market that is more profitable.

5. Subdomain can also be used to optimize your blog or website for a certain keyword. For instance, it’s very hard to squeeze all the keywords that you want into one main domain and what you can do is to create subdomains to concentrate on a particular related segment of your market. In that way, you can create unique contents and keyword centered articles at the subdomain which would help improve the ranking of the maindomain. But be warned that the content created must be unique or else you would run the risk of being seen to spam the search engine and face “deindexing”

When you create a subdomain, you actually create another domain name and the search engines recognized it as a separate domain name from your main domain name. Hence, you can create your own mini sites or blogs or do some internet marketing or affiliates marketing from.

The main advantage that I see in subdomains is the cost advantage. How many times are we saddled with domain names that failed and we have to cut it off? By using subdomain names, we can try out the market first before getting a domain name if it’s profitable.

Hope you have fun with this idea I have. And if you have comments on this, please drop me a comment on my blog on http://www.internetcitymarketing.com

Thx!

Simple Mistake in Internet Marketing.

Simple Mistake in Internet Marketing.

Made a simple mistake in my website. I never cross check my website at another computer.

When i was just learning about internet marketing, some one told me that if your website does not load within a few seconds. People would just click away. And you should always double check your website that you have created using other people PC or lap top.

And this is exactly what mistake i made.

My wife surf over to my website and took a look. And she told me that my 2 Column layout is forcing the main content down the line. I am so surprised! It look great on my own PC.

Any how, i quickly adjusted my wordpress to remedy for the mistake.

Please, don’t forget the basics in internet marketing!

Please help me take a look at my website and let me know if there are more such mistakes!

Just when i am surfing the web, i saw this offer from Sam Freedom’s Internet Marketing Controversy Blog which offers free bank link.

The stated aim of the site is to

FOR INTERNET MARKETERS — TO INVITE CONTROVERSY and ENCOURAGE DISCOURSE to all of those seeking to become more effective, HAPPY marketers. Here we discuss what is good marketing, bad marketing, INVISIBLE marketing, grey area marketing, back door marketing, you name it. We are ethical people. We just discuss everything. WARNING — NOT FOR THE FAINT AT HEART! Did I happen to mention “internet marketing”?”

Wow, what a great way. Come to think of it, any publicity is good publicity! Thats a way for internet marketing to go. to create controversy. It may be a subset of what is know is viral marketing. Its a free offer for something that is intangible, and then the news spread around and it will generate traffic? I can only speculate.
But any how, there is the link to the blog. Go check out the site.

And Sam, thx for the link. It may be a small thing to you but it mean a lot to me. If i can, i hope i can spread it forward next time.
